Assistant Pastor Larry Yost

The personal testimony of  Pastor Larry Yost.  He was raised in a Christian home and his parents made sure he and his sister were in church whenever the doors were open.  He was saved at the age of 10, after a family devotion on a Wednesday night in December 1961, with my sister asking if I would like to be saved & my mother leading me in the sinner's prayer.

He grew up in Grace Gospel Church, in Huntington, WV. There they had an annual missions conference each year and on the closing night of the conference, there would be a time of dedicating your life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. As a teenager he felt he was being called to the ministry.

In 1970 Pastor Larry started attending Piedmont Bible College, majoring in Christian Education. While at Piedmont, he participated in different Christian service outreaches like (street preaching, nursing home, rescue missions).  While there he attended Salem Baptist, serving in the bus ministry, singing in the choir & served as a song leader for the Sunday School department.  In the summer of 1972, he served as song leader at Walnut Hills Baptist & helped with the visitation program and other areas as needed.
